The world has evolved and with it comes new opportunities. Working from home or remotely has allowed us to curate our work experience to fit out needs. However, with office separation comes a few unique challenges. Slack offers quite a few ways to make those challenges easier. Here are a few tips to help get you through the work day.

Stay Connected

Just because you’ve gone remote doesn’t mean you are isolated from your team. Slack can help keep your team aligned and moving in the same direction creating a wonderful team experience.

You’ll be able to keep your departments and team members connected and able to communicate quickly and effectively.

Create Channels

To give yourself a better grasp of what needs to be done, give each project its own channel. Move all notifications, updates, discussions, files and everything else for that project to the channel.

This is an easy way to keep yourself organized instead of searching endless threads for one piece of information. Keeping each project separate using channels can help you understand how many projects are in motion at once and allow for prioritization.

Do More than Chat

Working remote can come with it’s challenges. Fortunately video calls and screen sharing are available in your arsenal. Issues and questions can be solved together.

This feature can be key during pair programming. This will allow for each person to view the screen when working together in the same window.

If your team would like to use a different app for their needs they’ll be able to do so without ever leaving slack.

Multipurpose

Slack is more than just a chat app. Compatibility with many different apps has allowed for a quicker and smoother workflow. No more limitations. Check out the available apps to use with slack

Message Reminders

Don’t miss out on this incredibly helpful feature. You won’t need to constantly hound your employees to remember to do something. Instead, they can set a reminder on a message and Slack will automatically send them a notice reminding them that this task needs to be done.

In this way, your employee can manage their tasks and also help with the overflow of messages making them much easier to handle and process. The less stress in a work day, the better.

Share Channels Externally

Slack doesn’t just have to be an internal function of the company. Sharing project channels or meeting channels with outside customers, clients, or viewers can help keep them up to date and informed about their project. They will be able to see in real time just how dedicated you are to their ideas.

Celebrate the Victories

It doesn’t matter how big the win is, a small celebration can do your team a world of good. Let them know you appreciate their hard work and are grateful for all they do. Without your team your business would not be where it is. Take the time to appreciate one another and grow closer.

Conclusion

Slack has incredible potential for your business. Many companies use it to get that extra bit they need to keep their company thriving. Need help getting a leg up with the competition?

In recent years, the legal landscape has witnessed a surge in the number of ADA-related lawsuits and demand letters, particularly focusing on web accessibility. This shift has put numerous businesses under scrutiny, with hundreds of thousands receiving demand letters annually. Surprisingly, only a small percentage of these cases end up in trials, as most are settled beforehand. The year 2022 saw a record-breaking 3,250 ADA web accessibility lawsuits filed, shedding light on the pressing need for businesses to ensure their websites comply with ADA regulations.
